It is said that when a heart of innocence, righteousness, and kindness falls to hate, vengeance, and anger while in the grips of death, that heart shall return to this world. But not as a residence, no, they return as something far sinister. These fallen hearts return as vessels of the first evil. Immortal hell bringers whose ashes are the dawn of a new era. Where there is one Vessel, lives will be lost. Where there are thirteen, the world comes to an end on the wing of a great condor.
In the Dawn City, there are many strange things that occur. People missing, people found mauled in their homes with no sign of forced entry, and sightings of unknown animals roaming the streets. To new comers, these strange and unusual occurrences might be frightening, but to the life long residence, Dawn City is home of many unusual things.
Citizens sleep soundly in the night thanks to a new branch of the FBI who specialize in the new outbreak of monsters. They protect the weak and defend the helpless. They are the heroes of the night who take on things that are nightmares can only create. They are the Supernatural Patrol Department, or SNPD. This new branch of the FBI trains both normal and abnormal cadets to become top monster busting officers who we trust with our safety.
SNPD keeps the city safe from rogue creatures, monsters, or persons who try to corrupt and or disturb the peaceful, ignorant citizens. They've come a long way and Dawn City has greatly benefited from them.
However, on the darker side of the city, danger is afoot. A gang of the supernatural beings are starting to turn this city upside down. They are called the Black Scorpions, the highest ranking street gang in the city. Similar, in work and attire, to the Italian mafia, the Black Scorpions rule the streets. They run a business of drug dealing, paid protection, and car jacking. They are the longest running gang for one sole reason. They know how to make a clean get away, leaving no evidence what so ever.
SNPD has made it their top priority to clean the streets, ensuring the safety of both its normal and abnormal citizens. The Black Scorpions has made it their job to make life in the city a little more...entertaining. With these two forces, life in Dawn City is never dull.
