Dante longed in the armchair by the fire, her small form seemingly dwarfed by the seat. Once more she was plotting and once more she had called her son. She was happy he was here, on this side, though even now he was unsure of how that happened. She had a few plans that would require him, as always he played a key role and as always he only had one thing he desired, to destroy the Elrics, they had been gone a while but they had recently returned, like her son, suddenly and in a distant area.
But what was on her mind right now was this child her daughter had found. A child who could see but was blind, could be useful in many situations. She could be sent into the dark against people and easily see them but not be seen, she could work well in situations even her sins would not. Envy could turn into an animal and sniff them out but it was not the same. Either way she would prove a useful pawn, and if she could not be obtained she would simply be killed, maybe brought back and made into the new Wrath.
She knew that her current Wrath was a waste of the stones she used to make him. But she would use his death as an advantage, she knew that although Mustang and his subordinate Hawkeye would kill him without a second thought, afterall he was a damned now. She was sure that seeing his form would cause some sort of strain on them. Show them that she could bring anyone back and use them against them. But she had hopes that a few phrases would catch them close.
She remained in her lounged position, her small form clothed in what could only be called Lolita. Greeds doing of course, she needed to indulge him on occasions. A crimson dress, though the lace and frill where black. A small identical doll sat next to her, dressed and done the same, a miniature her. A small glass in her hand filled with red grape juice. Her mind still buzzin as she waited for her son.

The sound of quick footprints reverberated through the hallways of young Scarlet's mansion. Scarlet... that was what the humans called Dante's current body. That a woman well over four hundred years old would now inhabit the body of a small child seemed incomprehensible to the oldest of the Homunculi. It didn't really matter, but he still found it amusing.
Envy strode through the slightly darkened halls of the mansion towards Dante's study. His long, dark, forest green hair flew behind him as he went. Envys' hands were held in light fists and his dark violet eyes shone in the meager lamplight. His 'Mother' knew how to bring this Homunculi running. Speak of the Elric brothers - those damned bastard children of him - and Envy would come running. Any pain he could inflict on them was a joy to him. Envy would take everything from them for doing to same to him.
He had been happy once, one of the few Homunculi to not hold a grudge against their 'creator' for the meer act of giving them the hollow existance of a Homunculus. Hohenheim had stayed with him and Dante for quite a few years after his 'birth', only to up and leave both him and Mother for some tramp in Resembool. What right did that woman have to take him? What right did Hohenheim of Light have to leave? Leave him, leave Dante, leave everything behind...
And thus, Envys' twisted sense of hatred and jealousy was born. Now he lives only to see those that caused him this pain - this abandonment - and all those associated with them burn. To take everything away from them and only when they are on their hands and knees begging for death... will he not fulfill their wish. He would drag them through the mud, drag them through pain, and repay them a hundred fold for the travesty of having what he would not. What he deserved.
Maybe that was how he got the name Envy...
The eldest Sin reached Dante's study, a place few of the Homunculi visited. Dante's current body was that of a child; it would be hard to obey and serve someone so physically young until you know the power in her soul. That woman - His mother, as Envy had to remind himself - is the most powerful Alchemist in recorded history. She had brought entire civilizations to their knees just to procure a magnificent, shining red stone, used to prolong her own life. Sometimes Envy had to wonder why... why would Dante insist she does what she does in order to instill a type of fear in the people of Amestris of the Stone, so that they will not seek it and bring about mankind's own destruction. Screw mankind! All they knew how to do is destroy and pillage and kill themselves over and over and over again. If Envy had his way... he would let them continue on their little games. Let the humans obliterate themselves, collapse under the weight of their own stupidity.
But he would not have his way in that. Not that it mattered anyway; Envy's goal was clear. The destruction of the Elrics and their entire cursed line. Dante knew his hatred for Hohenheim's sons; was that why he had called her here? Envy stared at the door for a moment before throwing it open, striding inside, and then slamming the door closed behind him. In front of the fireplace sat Dante - 'Excuse me, Scarlet' - staring at him. For just a moment, Envy considered chuckling at the obsurdity of the moment; the serious, mature, blank face of Dante of the Deep Forest on such childlike, prepubescent features. He was able to spot himself, however, and just smirked at her, "Dante, you wanted something?"

Dante turned her eyes quickly to her son. Envy in all his glory, his brow furrowed most likely in thought about the Elrics. He was predictable like that, then again she knew him better then anyone else, she had created him. She smiled slightly, tilting her head slightly to the right, her eyes boring into the fire. "Come closer and sit Envy, we have much to discuss, perhaps you would like a drink," she said, her voice smooth. She was calm in her thoughts, happy even, plotting brought her pleasure, especially when it would yield the desired outcome.
She turned her head slightly, she knew him well. He was obedient to a point, but even he had his leash. He needed her as much as she needed him. She was expecting some remark on her dress, but she would let it slide. She had to much in planning to let it bother her, as well as there was no reason, afterall it was not her he hated, but the role he had to play to get his revenge. So they where to rely on each other. The Elrics now, in future she had something else to keep him reliant and willing.

The eldest of the Homunculi stared down at Dante for a moment, arms crossed. Envy raised an eyebrow as he sat down in a chair across from her. It was... somehow funny to him. Funny that Dante was offering him a drink while wearing something like that. Such a frilly, poofy little dress belonged on porcelain dolls, not four hundred year old woman. Granted, she was in the body of a child... but that made it all the worse. Envy couldn't help but laugh at her, shaking his emerald tresses at the other - yet younger - woman. She reminded him of that little girl from the old novel... what was it called? Lolita? Not a picture this Homunculus needed... but hilarious nontheless. "Sure, Dante, I'll have a drink... but shouldn't you be off 'playing' with men three or four times your age?" Envy chuckled to himself, looking down at the child/woman. She looked like she should be some pedophiles little plaything, not an alchemist of such great power. The absurdity of it was nearly as funny as Dante being the body of a child to begin with. Both together and Envy had to force himself not to keep on laughing. 'Greed's doing, no doubt...' Envy thought, shaking his head once more.
He sank back into the chair, violet eyes staring straight into Dante's crimson. Her eyes seemed to be the only physical feature that portrayed her true nature. Such an innocent, childish face, with the eyes of a demon. If anyone deserved the title of the 'wolf in sheeps clothing' - besides himself, of course - it was her. Then again, it seemed Dante preferred it that way, what with her past bodies being a young teenager and an old woman. She seemed to be a master of deception... on thing the two of them seemed to have in common.
"Playfullness aside, what do you want to talk about?" Envy leaned forward and laced his hand together, laying his chin on top of them. He hoped whatever it was would get him back onto the front page. Get the Homunculi onto center stage once more; get ride of this boredom he felt from being couped up while the Elrics ran free. They didn't deserve a thing they had... and it killed Envy to know that they were free while he had to wait. Wait for the right time, wait for a plan, wait for Dante to tell him her plan...

Dantes gaze hardened slightly at Envy's laugh, his comment also hardened her. It did not bother her so much as made her more firm. She would not get angry, she would not feel insulted everything would go the way she planned. "I suppose you heard then, about the Elrics," she said almost nonchalantly. She cared about their whereabouts and what they where doing, she did need a new stone if she could find a way to use them or even find a way to the otherside of the gate.
She watched him, a stone look in her eyes as her mind continued to turn. She would use what she could now and hold more for later afterall, he really only had one true goal towards them. A reason that drove him to the amount of Envy he had. Irony if she ever cared. "It appears they returned, recently of course there was reports of them in Resembool, as well on a train to Central," she said calmly a small evil smirk on her face. She did not know their location at this moment but she knew they where close. Although she knew he would want to go after them she had another job for him.

The effect was instantaneous. Envy leapt from the chair to his feet, staring down at Dante. His violet eyes burned with a loud, barely controlled rage. They were here again? On Amestris? How had they crossed back over? How had he not heard of their return? And they were on a train to Central now...? What, had they given nothing again?! Given nothing, yet received all this good, all this fortune?! He had been pulled into the Gate by force, Hohenheim in his clutches... there had been so much pain, so much agony. The pain of being ripped apart, cell by cell, until you faded away into nothingness... That's what it had felt like to be sacrificed to the Gate. How dare they come back unharmed? Where was that damned Edward's 'Equivalent Exchange' then?
"How?!" Envy demanded, his voice low. He balled up his hands into tight fists, shaking in his anger at their return. He had wanted to ambush them, kill them in a world where Alchemy was not possible. Kill the Elrics when they were down, defenseless, knowing all thay they had taken from him and feeling it. Feeling it all with none of their precious Alchemy to defend themselves. That's what he wanted...
But now they were back.
"How could they have gotten back to this side?!" Envy raged, "They are in Amestris, on their way to Central?! HERE?!" He swung around, making for the door, intent on catching them at the trainstation. He was blinded by anger, by his own envy; so much that it began to turn his vision red. Then he suddenly stopped, a hand on the door.
"They are coming here..." His voice still held the rage, the bitterness, but not uncontrollably so. Envy began to think, began to plot. How to torture them; how to make them fall to their knees, begging for death... a quick one was too much for the likes of the Elrics to ask...

Dante watched him calmly, her eyes portraying nothing. He had done what she had expected him too. His blind anger and envy could twist and turn him, but she needed another thing at the moment, his other ability was needed. "I have not been told yet, it seems to be a mystery," she said nonchalantly. Although she did care, she could use it if she could find it. She would find it, she would get it. "They where seen on a train to central, I have not received word from the military so I do not think they have visited there yet, but I have another job for you right now, " she said calmly.
She would prefer to have him calm and logical rather then to be engulfed in his own sin. No she had a job for him, and she was sure he might even enjoy it. "come back here and sit," she said firmly, she slid her form off the chair and walked over to the cart, she poured him a Red River an invention of one of Greeds Toys. She put a few stones in it and held it out for Envy. "Drink, they will get theirs in good time," she said, a smirk on her face and malevolence in her eyes.
