Another quiet day at the office- except for the normal banter, plotting and complaints. After fifteen years you drowned it out, until it was all a dull drone that only caught your attention if something exception was going on underneath it all. She heard every word; it was just that she didn't concern herself with thinking into it consciously. It would have been a waste of brainpower best turned to other things, like making sure that the others on the team accomplished their work in a moderately timely manner, and that wasn't always easy. The goldbricks were always looking for a way out of their jobs and the General was an example they followed in that regard. The place seemed to lose a bit of its discipline whenever she was gone, as she may have to be soon in the future if the matter with the Sins wasn't resolved.
The sunlight slanted in the windows, which meant it was nearing noon- that meant break time, and Black Hayate was getting a bit antsy with anxiousness about that fact. If she ever didn't have a clock nearby Hayate's actions would have been a very good indicator of the hour. There had been odd rumors and sightings lately that required a good deal of investigation on her end, but other than what she'd seen with her own eyes it had all remained unverified. What she needed was to update the General to the possibilities these stories brought, and with that in mind she carried her notebook back to his private office and opened the door, stepping inside quietly. "General, I think there are some recent developments which I believe may interest you," she said in her usual calm, professional tone.

General Roy Mustang sat in his chair, leaning back in it as it creaked in protest to his weight. His thumb and forefinger spread under his chin. His one good eye stared down at the papers that 'needed' to be signed. Why was it they needed to be signed again? They weren't exactly important. Just really permission slips and the like. A small sigh escaped his lips as he looked to the ground to the left of his chair. Thank god.
It was nearing break time. Well, it had been break time all day for the State Alchemist. He looked up from the ground over to the done pile. The were only four papers. Sometimes he wondered if it be better to actually do the work instead of just sitting here and doing nothing except getting antsy. Then he remembered, what the hell could possibly be better than paperwork?
Nothing!
Well, Riza, or then there was the Madame President, walking in on him while he was slacking off, but that wasn't about to happen anytime soon. So he could relax. Sitting back in his comfortable leather chair he heard the protesting creak. He closed his eyes relaxing and waited for break to roll around. He sat there and took a deep relaxing breath rocking back and forth.
Then his ears picked something up. He opened his eye and looked back to the office, his gaze landing on the opening door. His visible eye widened and he flailed a bit grabbing for his pen as silently as he could. Grabbing it he bent over the paperwork and started signing, his signature a tad sloppy in his haste.
"General, I think there are some recent developments which I believe may interest you,"
Mustang looked up from his work that had been awaiting his attention all day. Recent developments? Oh yes, recent developments had been interesting him much as of late. In fact, much of his time and energy has been put into trying and find out if there was any connection between this "Wrath" and those events five years ago.
"Developments of what nature, Major?" he asked, looking back down to his paperwork. Honestly, if this turned out to be another Wrath sighting he'd get into a car himself and go interrogate the witness.

Deceit in truth had not planned to go to Hq till after her assigned start day. The official day she would start at Central Hq, she felt giddy inside. Central was the perfect place to find him, she was sure of it. It would take time but she was dedicated to what she did. The bump in the road had been unexpected. It had been Edward Elric, the Fullmetal Alchemist, and his brother Alphonse Elric and she had taken it upon herself to escort them to Hq. She had been in her civies when she had met them, but in order to make sure she could get into Hq quickly she had went and changed into her uniform.
Her hair was tucked up in a military style braid, a bit messy because she had not had the time to make it perfect, as well as her clothes fit perfectly although was a few creases that she planeed to fix when she could. She had chose to wear the pants rather then the skirt. She felt more comfortable in the pants anyways. She was happy she had taken it upon herself to escort The Elric's because there where few to no people who would believe who they are, after they disappeared two years previous in the balloon.
"Dont worry, Ill get you to General Mustang without problems," she said to him with a smile. She had only ever seen one picture of the Fullmetal Alchemist and his brother, it had been back when they disappeared, that and the statue that had been erected in their honor. Her steps where light on the ground. No one seemed to be paying them any heed, which was nice, on occasion someone would glance at them but they would look quickly away. They did not believe what was in front of their eyes.

Why was he doing this? It was a question that kept resounding in Edward’s mind as he walked silently along the streets of Central with his brother and new acquaintance in tow. The last few days had been hectic, if not somewhat troublesome and perhaps the elder Elric would have gone as far as to say that they had been hell....but even that seemed to be putting it lightly. Damn it all....why couldn’t something just go right for a change? When he had returned to the other world two years ago, he’d expected things to return to some semblance of normality, but even that hadn’t lasted long when those disappearances had started, perhaps he could have blamed himself in some part for the loss of that normality though, for it was his own curiosity that had been peaked. Perhaps if he had thought nothing of it things would have turned out differently, but Edward knew well enough that he would never have been able to resist something as interesting as those events, even if he could turn back the clock.
When he had returned here two years previous, he had half expected dramatic changes, but nothing, at least in Central, seemed to have differed, well, unless you counted Mustang. Frankly Edward could say he was pleased that he hadn’t died at the Fuhrer’s hand, he might not have seen eye to eye with him...but he didn’t want the guy dead either. Still, Edward couldn’t help himself when he had seen his eyepatch, casting off a quick quip, it was just the way he was, hell, he wasn’t going to change just because Mustang had. A smirk worked its way onto the elder Elric’s lips as he thought back on that day and he released a quiet chuckle. Well, perhaps there would be a good side to seeing Mustang, though he doubted it greatly, though for him there was really only one reason to see him, and that was to see if he had any information on what had been going on, for it seemed feasible to him, that if he and his brother had miraculously found themselves back in Amestris, that other people may have arrived here too.
"Dont worry, Ill get you to General Mustang without problems"Edward raised his head slightly to regard the young woman with them before simply nodding, placing his hands in the pockets of his brown coat. Alright, he admitted, he didn’t really want to see him, even if there was potential that he had information that would be useful, heck, the guy had often got on his nerves, and most of the time it was because of the short jokes and sarcastic quips he threw his way, not that Edward couldn’t fit back with that...but the point was, he could do without it, though perhaps there was some satisfaction in the fact that he was considerably taller than he had been when he was younger, that much he was thankful for, still, he knew that the man could no doubt come up with some other means of mental torture to annoy him with. Golden eyes moved to look at his younger brother and he released a long drawn out sigh, this was probably less disorientating for the younger boy than it was for him, after all, Edward had spent four years in total in the other world, granted, he had returned to Amestris for that short time, but still....there were the two years previous....he admitted to himself that after spending that long in a different place, a world of different technology, returning here once again, was rather daunting.

Alphonse stepped lightly and moved to his brother's side. It was good to be back in Central, it ment they could be able to see if anything had changed and aslo see their friends. Though he didn't miss the city itself much because of the bustle and hurried nature of the city. He looked around not really listening to what the girl was saying, he didn't really care about it, there was too much to look at. Even though he was excited he remained relitavly calm on the outside. Glancing at his older brother he caught his gaze before watching him sigh. He gave a smile to the older Elric, knowing his brother would rather not see Mustang at the moment. They sitll had alot to get use to again and seeing how much longer Edward had been on the other side compared to himself. [/sup][/color]

Sileas felt similar to her name, silly. She was filled with a sort of joy, she was proud of herself. She knew she was a foolish person, she knew that things where not all sunshine. She wanted to do her job right, and she had two heroes that she was escorting, what person would not be happy to do this. Well probably anyone other then her but still. She walked in stride her head held high, her eyes forward, her feet made very little noise as she approached the door. She had seen a few maps and had memorized the way, not wanting to act like the new soldier on the block and get lost.
"We are here, Im sure the General will be happy to see you," she said calmly, keeping herself under control. She felt excitement, in time she knew she would find him. And when she did she would bring him to justice, that would be her revenge for her sister. But she could never get revenge for the biggest tragedy, her face calmed and grew into the neutral face she was taught was appropriate for a military person. She lifted her hand and knocked three times. She figured three was polite, they where neither quick nor slow showing that she was neither in a hurry nor was she willing to wait too long.
