Irony stood in the middle of a field there where hay pile scattered around her. Her hair was up in a high and tight ponytail, her bangs loose and a few wisps of hair fell next to her face. Her amber eyes scanned the surrounding carefully, slightly lost in thought. She was wearing a simple pair of black pants, they where slightly snug and where a nice new black. Her top cut at her hip, it had sleeves that went to her elbows and was a shade of of dark crimson. She wore normal black boots that where snug in sorts against her legs and rose to mid thigh under the pants. Around her calves over the pants where her gunblades. Snug against so not to fall, loaded and safetied. Next to her was a bag, it had several little thing in it in case she needed it. It was beige in color and sack in shape, it was not very big.
There was a crisp wind, the sun shone slightly on the area, a storm brewing above. The clouds where a slight shade of gray but had yet to reach storm level. She stood, hidden by the piles and closed her eyes. In her hand was two pictures one of Edward Elric and the other of Alphonse Elric. She knew their names, she knew their face now to try to bring them over. She was slightly nervous to say the least, she had never pulled only pushed.
She had heard stories from her older brother of the two, Edward was infamous as the shortest and youngest State Alchemist to ever be accepted. She had heard a few things about him, most useless, though intriguing. She had caught snippets from some of the people that entered her bar, she found newspaper articles about them. The pictures in her hand was slightly faded, the pic of Edward had been caught during the battle in Central. A very rare pic indeed that gave her what she needed to bring him back. The Alphonse pic had a smile, taken by a friend of his she guessed, she had acquired it in a gamble.
She closed her eyes, she summoned the power in her. She visualized the rift. The purple black swirling mass that seemed to glow around her. She imagined herself in front of it, although it was just a physical representation she was still standing back in Resembool. She opened her eye to see a giant eye in front of her.
The eye was wide, it was huge in comparion to Irony. A small white form appeared in front. 'Hmmm first time you are trying to retrieve, what makes you think Ill listen and not eat them,' the white mass said sarcastically. Its weird grin smiled at her. 'I like the snacks you send me though so I will allow this, though there will be a day that I will have no more use of you,' the white form continued. Through the eye it could be seen, Ed and Al getting pulled by the black hands into a mass of darkness.
She snapped back into herself, shivering slightly as if she had been doused in cold water. The clouds above seemed angrier then before. She pulled out a watch from her bag, it appeared two hours had pass. She hooked the chain onto her pants and looked around. She would wait and see. She only hoped the rift would keep up its half of the bargain. The wind blew cold, she could feel the static through her teeth.
There was a sudden wind and then a flash as lighting struck the ground. Rain started to poor. She covered her face slightly as her hair moved in the wind and rain, just as quickly as it had appeared it disappeared. Leaving Irony standing in the same place she had been before, now wet from rain and a little irate. She rung her hair out and waited expecting a sound somewhere. The sky was now turning into a nice shade of blue, the sun showing slightly through the clouds, shedding light on her and the are around her.

Time, the one thing in the entirety of the topsy turvy world of life that remained constant. For some time was a but a fleeting moment between birth and death, for others it seemed to linger, and time had no meaning, those were perhaps the true moments, the moments in which it could almost be said, that time stood still. Two years, had it really been that long since he had returned to this world with his younger brother? Somehow it seemed as though they had hardly been here a year, but Edward knew that in truth....yes, it had been two years. It was simple enough for him to find himself back in his old routine, after all, he had lived her for two years previous, had become accustomed to the strangeness of the world, learned new things, new ideas, and whilst this place held so much familiarity for him, he knew that he could not speak the same for his younger brother.
Edward surmised that Alphonse had perhaps felt just as bewildered within the first week of being in this world as he had when he’d first arrived, yet through all the confusion his younger brother had shown, Edward could see the light within his eyes as he delved into things with blinding curiosity. He’d tried to help him where he could, explaining things that he did not understand and the elder Elric admitted that his brother was a fast learner, something he would have expected really, and honestly, it wasn’t long before he saw his brother pick up everything, learn about things he had not seen within Amestris. It made him happy to see his brother so keen, but Edward could but wonder if sometimes the younger boy perhaps missed their home, if only a little, even he had to admit that sometimes he did miss some things, Winry being one of them.
Life had seemed to be going well when the elder Elric caught wind of the rather strange and unexplainable disappearances of several people, who seemingly vanished without a trace, or a word to their families. Though it was not something that Edward would have normally gotten involved in...something told him that perhaps there was more to the disappearances than met the eye, and it was then that he decided to research into it but found nothing to aid him in coming up with an answer, but he was determined to find something, something that would perhaps explain this....phenomenon. It was not long before he had dragged his younger brother into his work, but even with Alphonse’s help, Edward found that there were still no tangible answers to behold, and frankly that had left him feeling somewhat frustrated.
It had been in the midst of his research that it had happened....but he wasn’t exactly sure what it was that had happened. He had been reading something, a text he had found in the library on natural phenomenon, a shot in the dark as far as his research was going, but it had been a path he had decided to explore, that was until something engulfed him, a bright flash of light, blinding his eyes as he brought his arms up to shield them. There was a sense of vertigo, a feeling of falling through the air, though he could have sworn he was standing for a moment before he felt his body move, eyes closed tightly before he felt the inevitable impact of the ground. He wasn’t sure how long he lay there, his mind alive, but body seemingly frozen for the longest time before finally he was able to move, sitting up slightly rubbing the back of his neck with a frown on his face.
“Damn that hurt.....” he said somewhat groggily before his eyes opened slowly, widening somewhat. What.....what the hell? Grass? Why was there grass in the library? It took a full twenty seconds or more before Edward finally realised that he was no longer in the library but in a field....but there was something familiar about it, a sense that he had been here before. Golden eyes trailed over the grassy plain as the elder Elric stood, his legs somehow shaky but he managed to keep himself upright but almost wished he had stayed sitting down when he realised exactly why this place was so familiar. There, in the distance, close but seemingly so far away....was a building he had not seen in a very long time....from this distance of course he could not read that sign that stood outside by the wooden steps leading up to the door....but he knew well enough what it said, Rockbell Auto-mail. Resembool....Amestris....this was, this was home?
Edward somehow felt a small sense of elation, even as his jaw dropped a fraction in utter shock.....how had he gotten here? Despite the confusion, there was that mild excitement of seeing home again....even if he really didn’t know how he had gotten here in the first place, but right now his mind was too scattered to deal with the logical side of things and for the longest moment he merely stared at the greenery surrounding him, closing his eyes as the wind rushed past him, sending his pony-tailed blonde hair into an obscure dance before settling once more. The feeling of calm and happiness faded as quickly as it had come as Edward finally remembered something, something that filled him with dread, and in an instant he was looking around him in panic. Alphonse...he had been in the library with him when it had happened....but.....did he get brought her too? If so, where was he? “Al” Edward called hoping to hear some form of response as he swallowed hard. “Alphonse!”

What a strange wold his brother had been living in, that was now Alphonse's home. For the first few weeks he was in this world, Earth, he was confused by all the familiar faces around him and stuck close to his big brother until he became slightly more comfortable with the situation. Only than did he start to venture and look around more, learning new things about the world he was now in. A full two years had past while they had been in that world that was not theirs Alphonse had learned a lot of the world but longed for his home. He couldn't help but to be homesick, after all Amestris was where he grew up and where his brother and he went and traveled for all those years.
Eventually his brother had heard of some strange disappearances and started to look into it. Alphonse figured it was either a serial killer or the people just found better things to do. But as he watched his brother work more he found that the people had nothing in common and left without a word to their families. Alphonse had become interested and was dragged into Edward's work as he always had done. They researched but found no leads. Edward had suggested going to the library a few times but Alphonse only went with him once. As he looked over the books he wandered off away from where Edward was reading.
He noticed a bright flash of light and flinched, instinctively covering his eyes from the light before it felt as the ground dropped under him. For a fleeting moment that the ground was gone a strange dizziness before hitting the ground. Hard. With the air knocked out of him he laid in the grass beneath a large and familiar tree in a field. He drew in a breath once his diaphragm settled from the impact with the ground. Slowly he opened his eyes, but stayed on the ground just looking up at the tree. The familiar smells of his home flooded the air around him and he took a deeper breath before exhaling through his mouth in a half sigh, a smile crossing his face. Was all that chaos on the other side of the gate a dream? He blinked as he heard the voice of his brother calling for him, sounding desperate to find him.
Alphonse sat up and glanced around, confirming that he was home before he spotted Edward a half-football field away. He gave a wave to Edward "I'm over here brother!" he called from his seat in the grass, a wide smile on his face for he - and his brother - were finally home. Finally back in Amestris, where all their friends where and where their home was.

Irony felt disoriented for a moment. The energy drained from her and she felt light. She caught a white form from the corner of her eye and another flash of light in front of her, shortly after that there was another one not to far in front of her. She stood where she had stood from the beginning, she looked at what had happened and felt elation. She had done it, she had brought them back. She one closest to her was Alphonse Elric, he seemed to not notice her. He called out to his brother. She had barely been able to see him from where she stood, but it was them.
She kept the emotions from her face. She felt proud of herself, she had gotten them back and in one piece, they weren't injured from what she could see nor where they missing anymore limbs then they had lost before. She let a small smile slip onto her lips. Her brother would be pleased she was sure of it. She could push and now pull, they could find allies on the other side. She felt hungry, she was glad she had brought the extra stones though she had, had enough of them to last her a good long time. It seemed that pulling took more from her then pushing.
She was sure her brother would be proud, after her mistakes, she had hoped for something to prove herself. She had heard through the grape vine that a few things had begun to happen. She knew what she had just done would cause problems though, her brother might see it as a betrayal seeing as the Elrics where the enemy of the sins, but she was not a sin. She was Irony, a conundrum, a humonc who pretended to have no power. She was elated that she could actually be of use. Her amber eyes where set on the youngest at the moment, she was less then ten feet away from him.

There was a lot to take in right now, the fact that he appeared to be home, something that was confusing if not somewhat worrying in itself, but Alphonse’s safety was of a higher priority for him now. He admitted that he often dragged his little brother into his research, of course during the time they had been looking for the stone, they were both as keen as each other, their goal mutual and thus Edward felt no guilt over the effort that his younger brother put into it...but this, this was different. The disappearances had been something that Edward alone had been interested in, or at least at first, but somehow he had managed to drag his little brother into it too, though Alphonse had never really voiced an opinion of whether he was interested in the research or not, he had just aided Edward as diligently as he ever had and Edward was thankful for that much.....but still, if something had happened to his brother because of his obsession....he would never forgive himself.
"I'm over here brother!" That voice, that oh so familiar voice made his heart leap in his chest, a shock running through his system like a bolt of electricity as his mind calmed somewhat. He turned then staring in the direction the voice had carried from, a small smile moving over his lips as golden eyes settled on the familiar form of his younger brother, hand waving to him in the distance. Edward released a deep sigh and began to make his way towards his brother, keeping that smile as he placed his hands in his pockets. Al was safe.....and that had been his main concern but still, he could not say his mind was completely sated on the matter. The elder Elric stopped but a few steps away from his younger brother a slight frown moving over his face as he stared at him, sitting there in the grass, seemingly happy enough. “You ok Al?” he asked, letting the frown lessen.
With his mind in a calmer state, Edward found that he kept mulling things over constantly, even as he stared at Alphonse, watching him in silence. It was strange how all this had happened in the midst of those disappearances, and now it seemed that they were the ones who had disappeared. To Edward this was far too much of a coincidence not to be connected but still....something about it was off, when he had thought about the disappearances, he had never dreamt they would occur in this fashion, and somehow in that notion was a doubt, a doubt that this was the same....but still....the elder Elric’s mind resumed its assumptions....they had to be connected, they had to be. Golden eyes trailed away from Alphonse if only for the briefest moment, but it was long enough for Edward to notice something out of the ordinary, something that shouldn’t have been in the field, and instantly his gaze snapped back to it, and he frowned somewhat, staring at Irony.

Alphonse blinked, was there something wrong? Well not that he knew of at least not yet. There was just the seance of serenity but there was the slight twinge of that strange feeling you get when someone is staring at you. He shook his head "Nothing's wrong brother." at that he got to his feet and brushed off none-existent dirt off of his clothes. He glanced around again at the rolling fields and distant houses of their familiar home before noticing his brother's expression change. Alphonse blinked than looked behind him at the girl, watching her for a moment he asked "Who's that?" she seemed to have a familiar presence about her, he couldn't quite put the feeling in place.
((D: sorry it's sort, couldn't think of anythign else but felt bad for holding up the thread for almost a month))

Irony kept her cool and leveled gaze. Portraying no malevolent intent or emotions, not that she had any. Her happiness was only shown through a slight smirk on her face. She was proud, she had control. Though she felt weaker then usual, she assumed she had expended more power then she had planned. Although she still held herself with the same amount of strength and pride. She was a homunculus, she was strong in body and mind. She was useful.
She tilted her head to the left slightly, listening to them, and then they noticed her, she could not help but smile a bit wider. She portrayed it as a friendly smile, a happy to see you smile, a smile from a human. She had watched many and knew how to mimic them and their emotions. Although she did feel them to an extent, her body was that of a semi immortal human. She kept her eyes on them, remaining quiet. She would wait for them to approach her, she would watch them, possibly befriend them.
If she could befriend them, they would be usable, her brother could use it to his advantage. Hopefully it would lessen his anger of her doing something that could anger him. She had done it for his benefit but still he would most likely see it as a betrayal unless she could use it to her benefit, and she would, she would find a foot hold and hold on. She would make this a benefit.

It seemed that trouble followed the elder Elric wherever he went, it was something he had thought he had left behind him when he had returned to Germany, but it seemed that his life never could run smoothly, between the disappearances and turning up here...back in Amestris, and Resembool of all places...it was perhaps a little too nostalgic. There were more things to be fathomed now than there had been in Germany, for one, what had brought them here, if indeed this was all connected, exactly HOW were people being ‘transported’ from their worlds? It was something that Edward intended to investigate further, but right now there were more pressing matters, ones a little closer to home perhaps. He found it somewhat strange that he had not noticed Irony’s presence before, but merely put it down to the shock of the moment.
If life had taught Edward Elric anything it was to be naturally cautious of strangers, it was a habit he had picked up in his youth, and one that had followed him over into adulthood, though he admitted that his sense of wariness about people had lessened as he had gotten older, most likely due to the fact that since he had been in Germany there had been nothing to worry about, and naturally he had begun to grow out of his old habits, still, this girl was rousing Edward’s suspicions somewhat. The frown remained upon his face as golden eyes scanned over her, taking in as much detail as possible, processing it thoroughly in his mind, she was a little out of the ordinary perhaps, but there was nothing overly threatening about her, if anything she seemed to be acting friendly, merely for the smile on her face, but still, it was always best to be cautious, even if all signs told you it was ‘safe’.
Edward let his glance trail to his brother as he stood from his seat in the grass, brushing his clothes down before he too noticed Irony’s presence. "Who's that?" The elder Elric lifted an eyebrow slightly at the question before letting out a soft sigh. “I don’t know Al” he said quietly before turning to look at Irony once more, golden eyes fixed on her face. “But I’m gonna find out”. With that Edward began making his way towards her at a slow pace, it wasn’t as though she were miles away from them, but he wasn’t exactly in a rush either, and considering everything that had happened so far, it was best to play the situation out calmly. Stopping but a metre or so away from her Edward placed his hands in his pockets once more, trying to keep his expression somewhat neutral. “Hey” Edward said calmly, as good an introduction as he was willing to give at the moment, though as far as introductions went, ‘hey’ was perhaps the lamest.

Alphonse watched his older brother as he answered the question with what was expected "I don't know" and what was to come next was also what younger Elric had guessed his brother would do. And that was to check out the unknown. Neither of them was much for sitting around and be content with out knowing things so Alphonse fallowed his older brother at a slight distance just in case. He wasn't entirely sure what this girl would do but she seemed pleasant enough despite the familiarity of her being. It was a sort of deja vu but he tried to ignore it and not look troubled by it. He fallowed his brother's lead but smiled slightly so he didn't look intimidating to the girl, but otherwise stayed quiet while standing behind his brother to the left. [/sup][/color]

Irony's mind was in several places when Ed said 'hey', in one part she was listening and making sure that their vocals worked and their mind was not damage. On the other hand her mind ran with what she should say. Although she had planned to summon them, she did not have much of a cover for why she was standing near where they had arrive wet and just stareing at them. Not a wise idea she realized, something she needed to remember if she ever decided to try this ever again, not that she really planned to do it.
She decided to play friendly and slightly stupid. She smiled, a shine in her eye. "hey, do you perchance know which area Im in, I got a little lost here in Rezembul. I was looking for the hotel, decided to go for a walk and saw a light. You two would not happen to be the Elrics would you." She smiled wide, and sent off a friendly aura of sort. Its not like she was going to kill them or harm them so it was not a lie or a false feeling. "I heard the Elrics disappeared a few years ago, so you must not be them, plus both of you are too tall to be Fullmetal," she continued with an innocent smile.
She laughed slightly. "Yeah neither of you could compare to what I heard about the legendary short alchemist," she said with a slight smiled. She knew she was talking to the Edward Elric, the Legendary Short Alchemist and the one and only Fullmetal alchemist, but she loved to toy with people and when trying to pretend to be stupid, she figured it would be the best way.
