Gluttony laid on the ground, her eyes looking toward a certain warehouse in New Optian that housed something that was vital to the military, or so her source had told her. She laid as flat as she could between two other warehouses that shielded her from the spot lights that encircled the area scouting out for anything that was suspicious. And the guards walked around, keeping an eye on everything. It was because of them that she was huddled so far away from street. She saw a spot light pass by, and smirked. Now, it was time. If she didn't go now, she wouldn't get her chance.
Pushing herself up she lifted her knee to her chest and placed the ball of her foot on the ground. Pushing off with her foot she sprang forward, running toward the end of the alleyway. She was about ten feet away when a guard appeared before her, he blinked and turned. His eyes went wide as she tackled him, immediately placing her hand over his mouth, and her other around his neck, her knees on either side of his abdomen, she started to decompose his body. She watched and smirked as his eyes widened and he gave a muted scream that couldn't be heard over two yards away.
She smiled as the man was soon dust under he knees, looking around, she noted that no other guards had seen her, but however a spot light was coming up on her. A shining ray in the darkness illuminating the ground where it shined. Gritting her teeth slightly she stood low and ran, the spotlight missing her by inches. She continued on, running low to keep out of eyes way. She ran past the front of the warehouse, the side that had the marked number on it: Number 12 and to the side where she planted her back against it just as a guard rounded the corner. His back was to her so he was to the back of the warehouse. She'd have to remember to avoid the back. Looking around she bent down, and placed her hand against the wall. She watched as a portion just small enough for her slender body to squeeze under turn gray and into dust, at her touch. Getting down to her hands and knees she looked inside. It was sorta dark. Blinking she got down to her stomach and dragged herself into the hole. Once her upper body was inside, she just pulled her legs in curling them up beside her. Her feet disappearing inside the hole just as the guard turned the corner, his feet crunching with each step. He walked on, not noticing anything had happened.
With a silent sigh of relief Gluttony looked around. It was pitch black in the warehouse. Standing, gluttony ran her hand along the wall to keep a balance on everything. Looking around, she saw nothing. When she blinked there was no difference. It was as if her eyes had been closed the entire time. Running her hand along the wall so she wouldn't get lost she looked to the side and suddenly felt something run into her, or her run into something. She fell back as the object forced her off balance. It was like walking into a brick wall. She feel to her bottom and held her now broken nose and waited for it to heal. She only sat there a second or two before it was all better.
"Ouch." she muttered under her breath as she looked up to whatever she'd ran into. She stood up again putting one hand in front of her and the other on the wall. It wasn't more than five second before her hand in front of her came into contact with something that felt like it was wooden. Rubbing her hand across it she learned very soon that it indeed was made of wood. Blinking she ran her hand down it until she came to an outcropping at about her waist height. She ran her hand over the strange deformation. It felt like metal, it was cold, and felt a bit rusted. Shrugging she guessed the thing was a crate of some sorts. Wrapping her hand around the metal she took her other hand off of the wall, and pulled the crate. It moved with a rasp of wood on polished concrete, like papers moving over one another.
Her face turned red with effort in the darkness, but finally she had the box setting next to the hole she'd made. Now, if she could find the lights. Looking around she turned her back to the box and placed her hand against the wall, once again using it was a guide. Eventually she got to a point were there was a break in the flatness and smoothness of the wall. It was a slight bump, blinking, she looked to her hand. Running her palm about an inch or two more she came to a switch and smirked. She flipped the switch, and flinched.
The area that had earlier been pitch black murkiness was now a brilliant bright light that showed everything. She winced slightly waiting for he eyes to adjust. Soon, they did, and Gluttony looked around. There were crates, tons and tons of crates. But what were they doing here? She blinked looking around. What was in these boxes she wondered.[/blockquote]

Temperance closed her eyes as she sniffed the air that swirled around her. Yes, she was in New Optain. No, she wasn't here for any specific reason, just the usual; a walk with nature that had turned into a walk with metal, iron, and mortar, and looking for sinners. The typical with her. Now, however, something had changed dramatically about her peaceful walk. It had become a mission. She picked up the faint, lingering scent of a red stone, or maybe multiple red stones. Who knew, but she did smell them. She'd been following it's trail for the past half hour, backtracking when she lost the scent, following it, getting lost in the cities many nooks and crannies. Inclining her head to the sky she sniffed again, her nose drawing in the air. She smelt it, a bittersweet smell. Her lips curled into a smile. It was the same scent all her brothers and sisters had carried. She was sure, there was another Virtue nearby.
Taking a step forward, she followed the scent. Walking through the many streets of the city. Turning a corner she blinkblinked at what she looked to. A whole complex, surrounded by a high fence. Temperance cocked her head curiously. This was... unique. It wasn't everyday she saw something like this. Taking a step forward as a spotlight moved over her, she stopped and looked up to the man running it. He rushed over to the left of the spotlight and pressed a button. Suddenly, sirens began to ring. She blinked, and cocked her head, in the full blast of the light. Within seconds, as if creeping out from the shadows themselves, the men held her at gun point. Ten men, ten guns, god knew how many bullets. They just stood there, holding their weapons even with her chest. She blinked as sweat began to form on her brow. Swallowing, she waved, timidly with a small, skittish smile on her face.
“H-hey guys. W-what's up?” she asked eyeing the weapons. She swallowed.
“Who are you? What is your business here?” one of the men asked. It was impossible to tell which man had asked. The voice seemed to come from no where and everywhere at once. She looked between the men trying to figure out which one she should speak to.
“Uhm, I- I...” she'd never thought about the use of an alias before, she'd be sure to remember that later on. “I- my name... it's... uhm...” Temperance, wasn't a good lair most of the time, and one of those times was now. She blinked, trying to come up with a name, any name. Any thing to keep her from getting her red stones replaced with lead. Suddenly, a large crack broke through her thoughts, and she blinked, as a singly bullet streaked past her head, swiping her hair. She felt the wind beat against her cheek, and the bullet pass through the few strands of hair that hung from outside the hat. Her eyes widened in shock. She'd never been shot before, much less shot at. Her heart jumped up inside her throat as she stared at the men.
“Who are you and what is your business here?” the voice asked once again. Temperance swallowed, now a bit to shocked for words, she tried to calm down. She forced herself to take deep breaths, and forced her spine to stop shaking and the rest of herself to stop trembling.
“My name is... Eve. I- I was just out on an evening stroll.” she said and gave a quick bow, before turning her body away, giving a silent sigh of relief. They seemed to believe her. That was good. She smiled a bit uncomfortably and started to walk. Okay, in her book New Optain, big no-no. She'd not be going here anytime soon. Walking along she relaxed as she approached the buildings, getting away from the spotlights, the warhouses, the gates, the guns. Suddenly, her glee was shot down by another loud pop that echoed through the night. She sucked in air through her tooth making a rasping sound. Suddenly, she felt it, the bullet plunge into her head, breaking her skull. She could feel the bullet rip through the soft tissue of her brain, and break out the other end, her skull cracking and fracturing. The bullet flying from her skull. Her eyes wide, she feel forward, her eyes empty.
***Time skip: one hour***
Temperance's eyes were still empty when her mind and body had finally decided to heal itself. She blinkblinked before sitting up and rubbing her head, digging her hands under her hat that shifted with the change of surface. She blinked and looked around the room she was thrown into. It was dark, and apparently those men had mistaken her for a human. She took a breath, and blinked before coughing, and covering her nose with her sleeve. Good lord it stunk! She looked around before leaning forward placing her hand on the ground, and shifted her feet. She stood and walked forward. One step in the darkness, and she raised her hands into the air to search for a wall, or something she could use as a guide in the darkness. But before she could however, her foot struck something. She waved her arms as she suddenly pitched forward. Her arms where the only thing that kept her from breaking her nose on the hard ground, she landed on her hands, cushioning the blow to the rest of her body. After she had fallen, she turned over, her left foot on the side opposite the thing she'd tripped under, her other foot drawn up a bit, her calf resting on whatever it was.
Cocking her head curiously, she reached forward and touched it. It was cold, that for sure. It felt like there was a cloth or something on it. She blinkblinked and moved her hand farther away from her shin and felt the end of of fabric, as it suddenly transitioned from that to a cold, clammy substance. It felt much like a notch in something. Blinking, she moved her hand further along. She felt what seemed to be a pipe of some sort under the substance she touched, with a notch sticking out of it. Biting her lip, she moved her hand further up. There was an incline, a slope in the surface, that went up what seemed to be a ninety degree angle. She ran her hand along it scooting a bit closer for reach. The incline leveled off with a curve, and stretching her fingers a bit, she blinked before rapidly withdrawing her hand and bringing it close to her own chest. She scrambled to get up, and looked down to what she had just tripped over.
It was a human being!!
She took a step back before once again her foot impacted another dead body, she tripped over his one too, her hand slapping against the wall, and sliding down against the light switch. She screwed her eyes shut in the intense light, sitting there for a few seconds before she timidly opened one eye, she blinked, opening both in horror at what she'd seen. The floor of the room was littered with bodies, all decomposing. That was the horrible smell, the smell of rotted flesh. She scrunched her nose in disgust at the horror that laid out before her. It was grotesque! Some places he bodies rose in piles four foot high! She looked around, finding a door in the far side of the wall. Getting up, she sprinted toward it, jumping over the corpses, a look of panic on her face. Getting to the door, she grabbed the handle and twisted throwing it open, but was, however, met with resistance. The door suddenly stopped and there was the sound of something collapsing. Throwing the door open the rest of the way she looked down to a guard whom she'd knocked unconscious in her rush to get out. She mostly ignored it however and jumped over him running out of the room. She was in a dark hallway, lit every couple yards by lights. The walls were pure white along with the floor and ceiling. The same panicked look on her face as before, she sprinted down the hallway.
She passed under the lights, her features illuminated for a second or so before once again becoming shrouded in darkness, then illuminated for a second again before once again, shrouded in darkness. She ran along, tears beginning to flow from her eyes. She ran along turning at a corner and nearly running face first into a door. She stopped her upper body pitching forward against the door. She leaned against it, tired, and now crying, barely able to take a breath much less keep one. She just wanted out, out of this place. But to do that, she'd have to open this door. Taking a step back she straightened up and wiped her tears, before taking a breath. She grasped the handle and turned it, opening the door to reveal the world of night. The spotlights eerily swam across the ground, the guards marched like zombies. She stepped out surprised that no one had noticed. Looking around she shut the door behind her, before running along keeping low and to the shadows. She waved her way in between the warehouses, making her way out, or what she hoped was out. Finally, she stopped to take a breather as a guard rounded the corner of the warehouse. She leaned against it, and slid down into a sitting position. She was taking heavy breaths, catching a scent the wafted through the air. The red stones. She blinkblinked and cocked her head looking around. It was a powerful scent, very powerful indeed. She looked around and noticed that on the warehouse in front of her, near the bottom where the ground met the wall, it was a bit lighter than it should have been. She blinked moving herself forward, putting all fours on the ground. Cocking her head, she reached out with her hand and rubbed the wall. One part felt like cold metal, while the other part felt like warm wood. The lighter part felt like wood.
She blinked and pushed. The wooden part wouldn't move. Temperance cocked her head a bit more and, gritting her teeth, pushed again harder this time. It still didn't move. She huffed slightly and looked up and around. The guard would be back soon. She didn't have a lot of time to do anything. Looking up she cocked her head. She looked between the two walls, and grinned. This would be simple enough. Smiling she jumped at the wall she was using for a back rest earlier, then jumped off it to the other wall, then repeated this process until she was to the roof of Warehouse Number Twelve. Walking along the roof of the building she searched for anyway down into the inside. Cocking her head as she looked around, she sighed silently. There was no way inside.
With a bit of a solemn look on her face she walked over to the right side of he warehouse, the side opposite she'd come up on. She watched the guard pass under her, and disappear around the corner. Temperance jumped from her perch on the roof and down onto the ground landing but to tired to land it, falls back landing against something hard, that suddenly gave way. She fell back as the door to the warehouse opened up. She winced in the bright lights rolling away from the door and quickly shutting it. She looked around, her eyes adjusting. Taking slow deep breaths, she could smell the red stones even stronger now. Her brother or sister was around here...
...she was sure of it. [/blockquote]

Gluttony looked questioningly toward a box as if awaiting it to tell her what it held inside. She cocked her head wondering as it it's contents curiously. Her mind became intent upon the knowledge of knowing was was inside. Walking forward, the decomposing energy active at her fingertips she reached her hand out, but froze when a sudden noise encompassed the area. It was the sirens, a wailing noise that went from high to low in a transition that never ended. She looked around a slightly panicked look on her face. They'd discovered her, but how?!
"Crud." she said as she started to run, toward one of the boxes. Hopping into the air she landed against the tower of boxes and pushed off with her left leg. She then jumped to the wall of the warehouse and pushed off and continued this process until she was up even with the summit of the towers of boxes. Pushing off the wall she flew, hanging in the air for a moment before landing on the crate that sat on top of the rest. She crouched, breathing heavily. Doing that was hard work, and Gluttony could feel it. She could feel her heart beating rapidly in her chest. She was breathing rapidly, and had to force herself to take long deep breaths.
However, her breath caught in her throat when she heard the door on the other side of the building open up. She looked over her shoulder to see a guard open the door. She silently yelped and got as flat as she could on the top the box. She pressed her chest and abdomen against the box, along with her cheek and legs. She couldn't see the ground over the edge so when the door shut she didn't know what to think. Swallowing, she raised her head slightly, peering over the edge of the crate. The man was no longer there and the door was shut. It was like nothing had happened. She blinkblinked and using her hands pushed herself to all fours and looked around. There were plenty of places that were blocked because of the many towers of crates.
That was when she realized that she'd been holding her breath. She gave a large exhale and took another look around. She was sure he was gone and smiled slightly. Good, she hadn't been caught. Smiling to herself she waited a few more seconds before looked over the edge nearest the end she'd come up on and jumped down, landing neatly on the ground, her legs curled under her and her eyes scanning the area thoroughly for the object of which she broke into this place. Slowly, she stood to her full height and walked forward. Her long light brown hair patted against her back as she walked. Her breath was the only sound in the desolate warehouse. She walked along, her eyes scanning the boxes, still curious as to their contents. Deciding to ignore them and getting pushing her mind back toward her mission.
It wasn't long before she spotted the wall at the end of the path. She grimaced slightly seeing it and sighed slightly. So the end of the path had shown itself. The ominous brown wall rose up the the vaulted ceiling. She looked down the wall of crates to her left to see a break in the wall. Smiling she approached the gap. Nearing it, she got closer and closer to the wall until her arm was brushing against the rough wood. She took a breath coming within inches of the corner, and looked around the edge being careful of guards. She wasn't TOTALLY sure the other had left yet. She continued the rest of the way, and walked down the wooden corridor, flanked on both sides by the wooden boxes. She looked to them and sighed a bit.
She was in a labyrinth, and she was starting to feel claustrophobic. With a sigh she hugged her arms looking up to the crates. Once again her mind thirsted for the knowledge of what lie on the inside. of the wooden planks.
What could be inside those boxes? She sighed and dropped her arms back down to her sides. She couldn't turn back now, she was so close. The boxes would just have to be a bit of knowledge she would never learn. Sighing to herself, she started forward, coming close to another corner that she planned to turn. It was then that she, once again, heard the door open. She froze, and stood still. The way the door opened it sounded... different from last time. It sounded more like it was thrown open this time.
Once again, her breath caught in her throat. She didn't hear the door shut, which probably wasn't a good sign. If there WAS a guard in here then she couldn't stand around and wait to be caught. She blinked and began to breath again before bolting off toward the corner. Her feet landing firmly on the ground under her. She ran on toward the corner and turned it sharply. She continued to run as fast as she could, the boxes becoming a blur in the sides of her vision. Her heart beat inside her chest as the slight panic rose in her throat.
She wouldn't be caught, that much she knew.

Temperance stood just in front of the door, looking up at the boxes her left hand up to her head holding her brown hat on her head. She looked over the crates, her head slowly turning from one side to the other, then back again. Towers of wooden cubes that reached god knew how high. She didn’t know, the tallest structure she’d ever seen had been the church. These were… monstrous they seemed. Her relatively small mouth hung open and her hair fell in wisps down her neck stopping just over her shoulders. She stood there a moment, in that expression as she stared up to the boxes. She shook her head slightly as the smell of red stones hit her square in the nostrils, knocking her out of her sense of awe. She swallowed and looked around, at the bases of the wooden towers.
There were many alleyways between the fortresses of wood. Taking a breath, Tempy started down one alleyway. She walked on, the wooden boxes passing by her vision, by her peripherals. She was flanked on either side by them. Some where marked in big, bold, black letters: DO NOT OPEN: TOP SECRET They read, she cocked her head to these. They got her curious. What could be so secret that someone would need to lock it up with all those guards that would shoot a totally innocent girl just out on a walk for even SEEING the compound? She was tempted to open them up, but the box clearly said that it wanted its contents hidden from the world, so she’d let it sit. Forever shrouded in secret. The homunculus walked on, the smell of the wood and stones heavy in the air. The smell of the stones was getting heavier and heavier as she neared the center of the compound. She turned a corner, the usual look of innocent ignorance on her face as she walked through the warehouse. She looked, once again up to the tall wooden towers and swallowed. This place was… different. The walls where bare, and this maze was intimidating. She could turn a corner and anything could pop out around it, in front of her. She looked back to the path that lie ahead of her.
It gave her a claustrophobic feeling. She stopped her stride, her feet side by side. She clasped her hands behind her back like she would normally do walking around a town or city. Taking a breath, she closed her eyes and looked down. There were a couple thoughts that went through her mind, such as: Would she ever make it out of this compound? Would she even find her way out of this maze? Did she make a mistake and end up somewhere her sibling wasn’t? She opened her eyes and blinkblinked. That would be horrible, if she’d came here and there wasn’t a sister to be found. She swallowed and took a calming breath, attempting to calm the heart thump-thumping in her chest. She could hear it in her head. Her mind was making a future that scared her. She tried to turn her thoughts over to something less... scary.
She went across many things, plenty of different subjects. Even thoughts to Abel did nothing more than make her cheeks a rosy red. She smiled sheepishly and continued on, the color dying out turning to her skin's usual tan-ish color. She walked on, the smell of wood mixing up with the smell of the red stones. It wasn't exactly a pleasant aroma, but tolerable.
She walked on, her slip on shoes silently moving over the ground. Then, there was a sound. She blinked and looked behind her, nothing. Turning back around she looked in front of her, nothing. It must have been around a corner or something. Her pace slowed slightly, and she swallowed. This could be either of two possibilities. A guard or her sibling. Taking a breath she increased her pace to that of what it was. Her earlier predictions may have been bad, but there was the possibility that her sibling could be here, and Temperance have missed them cause she was too scared to do something. With the thought giving her new found determination she walked on.
Some distance away, only about six meters, she saw a corner. The footsteps were getting louder and louder. She set her jaw and tried to look brave. It was an utter failure for the young homunculus though. She flat out failed. No matter how hard she tried she still had that ignorant innocence in her eyes that said she couldn't hurt a fly without feeling insurmountably guilty. She turned the corner and was suddenly knocked back with a force that knocked her off her feet. She fell back against the boxes with a force that made her vision blur for a second. She shook her head and it cleared away. Looking up to who had collided with her she blinked. The person looked almost exactly like her. Actually, not almost, put them in the same clothes and the only thing that would set them apart is the pale skin of the other girl, and her tanned skin. She blinked as she shook her head again sure her vision was still bad. Stopping, her gaze immediately fell on the other. Her light brown hair, her eyes, her face, her... everything.
It was exactly like Temperance's. Suddenly, a pain shot through her head. It was like a knife suddenly piercing through her skull, and into her brain. Then like it was expanding, pulling apart the tissue. Her hands bolted to her head, knocking her hat off in the process. The hair that was bundled up inside fell down her back stretching all the way back down to her waist. She screamed as the feeling worsened with time.
There were flashes through her mind. People she didn't know, her and this other walking down the road side-by-side laughing and having fun. She didn't know this girl, who was she!? She grit her teeth as tears flowed down her cheeks. Her legs curled up against her chest, her tears fell into her lap. She could feel her memories piercing through her like a knife. Each one was another hole in her skull. Another pain that caused her entire body to shudder. She was standing in front of a strange woman, then it flashed to an unfamiliar school room, then to her and this girl again. This girl she'd never seen before in her life. The vision flashed again, her standing in front of a grave-stone that read: Katrina Aldene, Gone, but not forgotten. A true lover of nature, and all it's inhabitants. [/center] Temperance screamed. A shrill screeching sound that echoed throughout the warehouse and echoed off the walls and the crates. That stone, that gravestone, brought up many feelings. Abandonment, rage, pain and many others she didn't recognize. These feelings weren't her's though. They were someone else's. They didn't belong to her, she wanted to throw them away and not have to deal with them! She wanted to scream in protest to these memories that were being shoved into her brain.
She didn't want to remember these memories of a past life that wasn't her's. She didn't want these emotions that were alien to her mind and body. She wanted rid of them. She buried her head into between her knees, her shoulders shuddering while she cried through the pain. After a moment the pain reducing itself only to a minor headache. She let her hands drop to her sides as her entire body relaxed. She had noticed that ever muscle within her had tensed up and was only now relaxing. She blinked as she looked to the other.
"K-...Katrina?" she asked through the tears the shimmered as they rolled down her cheeks.[/blockquote]
