Li's lie had failed however he didn't expect it to work in the first place. He might have to tell her the truth that he was dieing and maybe soon. The question was how would he deliver the news. When he looked into her eyes he felt awful for lying to her. He was keeping his condition as a secret as to not worry people, but he would lie and hurt people.
Is his secret really worth the price he has to pay. Phoenix then did something that surprised him, she just moved on. He was expecting to confess to her soon but this was great. Li said, "You should be worrying more about yourself rather than me." He then gave a smile of reassurance to Phoenix.

Sileas sighed, she heard him say she should be worrying about herself. She did not feel any worry about herself other then being found out. She placed her forehead on the table. "Maybe your right," she said quietly. She did not like deceiving or lying, she only wanted to be herself. She shook slightly, the pain she had burned boiled slightly. She felt empty again but at the same time burning. Her tears had dried but she had the salt streaks down her face.
She lifted her head and leaned back again. "I was able to continue as normal, work, go home, side job, redo. Not much in my life," she said. She suddenly felt tired, as if all of the stuff she had done was taking its toll at once. A few tears fell down her chin, though they where not sad. "Your making me ask myself why I do things the way I do," she looked at him. Then she remembered she said, "Im afraid of what might happen to me. Then again if I become a state alchemist there is no worried....right?"

Phoenix started talking, it had seemed that what he said had made her think about herself. He was a bit confused about what she was going on about. He was able to figure a bit of she was talking about. She seemed to have been thinking about something she didn't want to think about. Even a few tears had fallen down her chin.
While she was talking he had been sipping the tea while paying attention to her. Before he knew it the cup had become empty. After she had finished talking Li said, "That is not for me to decide. Life is really simple but we insist on making it complicated. However I want you to be everything that's you, deep at the center of your being."

"Im suddenly tired, I am alive but all I do is exist," she said quietly. She looked at Li and listened to what he said. Finding the small hidden meanings and the meaning as a whole. Her glass eyes burned in the sockets, a probable reaction to to many tears. She closed her eyes and rubbed the lids slightly. The burn did not last long.
"Everything that is me," she said musing over it. She sighed slightly picking up her cup and taking a sip before putting the cup down again. "Maybe even if Im outed I can continue to do what I love, catching criminals as the Deceiver is fun, theres no paperwork, no worry. But I worry what the military will do if they discover my eyes. I worry what they will make you do, once Im outed they will discover," she said more quietly just loud enough he could hear.
She was worried about what might happen. She had not lied to anyone, if they asked her if she was the Deceiver she would probably answer, but not many people suspected her. Alex was one of the only ones. Deceiver had not debuted in Central yet but she had heard a few people whisper about her. It made her happy and sad, If she outed herself she might be in trouble, but if she outed she could do what she loved best.
"You make me consider outing myself, I enjoy catching them, I enjoy paperwork, but I worry about the other things, the questions I know I will be forced to answer. It could hurt you too," she said. She sighed yet again and leaned back into her chair, looking at the ceiling. What she wanted was to be free to be herself, but she had not been like that since her sisters death. Her true smile had faded like her sisters ashes.
