~General Appearance; Because Wright was born 2 years after Shamballas Wrath, he is the same age Wrath when he died. He is on the short side and is light in weight. He has very long black hair and his remaining eye is violet. He wears fairly simple clothing. Mostly it consists of black or grey t-shirts and pants. He also wears a black jacket with long sleeves that have white transmutation circles wrapped around the wrist area. He also wears black gloves on both hands. On the palm of the right glove is a red transmutation circle and there is a blue one on the left. On the inside of both is a white transmutation circle.
Instead of a left eye, Wright has an automail eye. It looks like a metal dome with a red circle acting as its pupil, the dome has rivets in it that allow the circle to widen and shrink. It is more powerful than a normal eye so it can see farther and in better detail. Because the Eye uses special wirings to attach it to the brain (to allow use for the increased vision) he is ether immune or only half affected by some abilities that require eye contact (depending if they require both eyes or not, if they only require one, he is effected). He also has an automail left ear, which looks just like a grey metallic ear. It is slightly more powerful than a regular ear and it has a simple active sonar system, which sends high-pitched echo's through the air and reads them once they get back to determine the location and motion of objects around him. He is very self-conscious of his eye and ear, so he often hides them behind his hair.

~Full History; Wright was born in San Diego, California in the other world, but his mother died in childbirth and his father moved to Munich, Germany and took Wright with him. Sig Curtis was a blacksmith and, because he and his son shared a close bond, he taught him everything he knew. The father also was good friends with their next-door neighbor, who happened to be a Chinese immigrant. The next-door neighbor lost a bet to Sig, and, because he couldn't afford to pay him back, offered to teach Wright martial arts instead.
So Wright grew up growing fairly skilled at blacksmithing and martial arts. His martial arts training often included training with various weapons, including swords, which Wright was especially good at. He was one of the star students at his school, he was well liked and greatly admired.
One day, two years ago, he and his father were out for a walk when they were both suddenly dragged through the rift. When Wright came out he was missing his left eye and ear, and his father was, literally, in pieces. Wright soon fell unconscious from blood loss.
He woke up on a hospital bed with an automail eye and ear, he was never told where he was, but one man was there who told him that he saw alchemic talent in him and that he would prepare him for the mans competition to see who would be his pupils. Over the next 6 months he was taught what Alchemy was and how to use it, Wright was a great learner and learned much faster than normal students. He was also taught about Shamballa in general (though he was never told what city he was in).
His mentor soon revealed that his training, and his room and board, stop here unless he could win his mentors competition. His mentor, whose name was Douglas Fredrick, apparently every time he wanted to take pupils he would hold a competition and allow the winning three to live and train with him, all others would be told to go home. So Wright HAD to win this contest because he had no home to go to. He'd die of starvation on the street!
Now, the goal of the competition was to come up with an original use of Alchemy and make it your own. Wright, because of his knowledge of blacksmithing, was proficient at making simple swords and the like, but that was deemed to be not an original skill by Douglas. So Wright was pretty much at a loss for what to do. He read books day and night but could still not find something to call his own.
Meanwhile all the other trainees made fun of him because of his automain and because he was from a different world. They also mocked him because he always lost in combat alchemy. Eventually he did make two really good friends: Joey and Brutus. They were great alchemists and Wright admired them.
As part of the competition, trainees had access to a seamstress that would make clothing for them with transmutation circles on it to fit their specifications. Wright designed a specially made jacket with very general transmutation circles. 3 months in and he still didn't have anything. He began looking at the different properties of matter in desperation, and finally realized how many things could be achieved, simply by manipulating temperature!
He quickly had two special gloves made, one to increase, one to decrease. He had them specially made, each with two layers, the second one on each had a transmutation circle on the inside, and Wright could keep a a stable temperature to keep his hands from burning or freezing. Wrights ability worked so that, because of law of conservation of energy, when he used one hand he had to use the other to the same degree, transferring the energy he absorbed with his left hand to be used by the right.
At the end of six months Joey, Bruno, and Wright had won the chance to train with Douglas. They spent a lot of time honing each of their specific skills. They also spent time learning general Alchemy. But after a year of training it all came crashing down when they were attacked by men wearing masked that ruthlessly killed Douglas right in front of Wright. He used Alchemy to create a small cave in the ground which he hid in. eventually he ventured out to find everyone gone. Having no knowledge of what happened to his friends, Wright left, taking the money that douglas had, which he wouldn't be needing and didn't really care abou anyway, and as many alchemy books as he could carry and walked away.
~Other Miscellaneous Stuff~
~Roleplay Sample;
(not cannon with the current Wright, but I was told I could sill use it)
"Are you ready Mrs. Curtis?" On of Izumi Curtis's assistants asked as his hand hovered over the switch for the nuclear generator. "Yes." Izumi said, she was hooked up head-to-toe in a special suit that transfered the power of the generator directly into her. Wright watched patiently as he watched his mom attempt to break into he dimension where alchemic energy was stored.
As the generator started, Wright could feel the tingle in his palms of his system absorbing energy. But it was so much without even touching anything! Wright had never felt this much energy in his life! Already his tattoo's were activated up to his elbows. He looked over at his mom, she was already glowing from head-to-toe and growing brighter!
Finally, after his mom had gotten so bright one couldn't even look at her, and Wright himself was activated full-body, she clapped her hands together and stuck them straight out. Suddenly a giant crack appeared in the air above and them slowly opened. Thousands of shadow-like hands reached out from the opening and grabbed Izumi and Wright and dragged them in, then closed behind them.
Inside he rift, Wright opened his eyes to see, right in front of him, an older version of himself, about 3 years older. The other him stared blankly, then walked towards him. Wright couldn't move, for the shadow hands sill didn't let go. The older him seemed to just walk right through him and disappear. The hands binding him the seemed to pull him apart, limb from limb, disassembling him molecule by molecule, so that he was nothing but a few particles.
Then he opened his eye,
and saw light.
~Anything Else;[/font] If anyone wants to play Joey or Brutus, be my guest. Just saying.
